The good old days
We tore the old decaying barn down.
And then, our old home place burnt Aug 14, 2016
No one was living in it at the time.
We were blessed that we had already gone through the house and barn and removed all items that were of memorable value. Only a few insignificant items remained in the house. ....... But still: Our family heritage home is gone.
And then the trees around the old house died.
The heat from the house fire was so great that there was not a single piece of wood or vinyl left to be seen. All that was left was tin and metal. All the appliances that were in the house were setting in the basement. The heat also killed all the trees around the old house and they had to be cut down as well.
